OUR STORY
A Sharp Arrangement was formed at SUNY Potsdam by female students in the spring of 1994. We are an award-winning group, placing 3rd in the 2011 and 2014 ICCA Quarterfinals and receiving Outstanding Soloist in 2014. We also placed 2nd in the 2019 and 2020 Quarterfinals and receiving Outstanding Soloist in 2020, advancing to Semi-Finals. Recently, we competed in the 2022 ICCA competition winning Outstanding Choreography. Sharps regularly consist of 12-18 treble singers that promote music and music education at SUNY Potsdam, and everywhere we tour.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
A Sharp Arrangement, SUNY Potsdam’s student run all treble a cappella group, is committed to performing in schools and other various venues. The group takes pride in working with students and members of the community through their performances.
A Sharp Arrangement has come together to explore the area of treble a cappella music through a variety of musical styles. The group fully supports music education in the schools and wants to more actively engage students in music. They promote music in everyone’s lives through their performances.
A Sharp Arrangement is committed to learning healthy, supported and energized singing that can be enjoyed by all of their audiences. It is the mission of A Sharp Arrangement to perform and entertain the public through a cappella music.
Music and Touring
If you want to listen to us at any time, we have music on all streaming platforms! Our most recent release is our EP "Something's Coming" with our award winning 2019 ICCA set! We also have albums "Silver Linings", and "Live Your Life".
We also go on Tour! We bring our dedication to Music Education to schools all around New York State. We offer workshops and performances in schools and other various venues.
